"I live in the desert. When I was a young child I thought the annual cicada spawning was actually the sound of the sun cooking and frying the earth as our days climbed up to 120. The cicadas would chill out when it got dark out or the weather cooled, so for the longest time I thought that buzzing WAS the sun."

цикада - это реально звут лета и жары) помню, как мы долго пытались увидеть таки, какая же она!

Был однажды на Крите, там они буквально заглушали море. Звон и грохот стоял каждый день, их было столько что не увидеть было невозможно.
